First Day of School

Today was Adeline's first day of school.  She was very excited this morning and couldn't wait to leave.  Unfortunately I didn't do her hair the right way but that was the only "crisis" we had.  When I dropped her off she was only a little apprehensive because she was the last one in the circle....were we late? No not today.  We were on time...everyone else was just insanely early. (at least that's what I will tell myself.)

So now I get to spend every day all day with this man...

My day won't be filled with too many tears today!

My Ice Skater

John and Andrew took Adeline ice skating a while back.  She was pretty excited!

Off they go!

She had trouble getting started.  She was very uneasy and didn't understand how to balance herself. They have these skating aids to help with people who are just starting out and even that was hard for her.

John is a really good skater and a pretty good teacher!

She got a little tired and needed a break.

After her break I suggested that she try and hold on the wall to get her balance.

Here she is started to trust herself and let go....

After only 30 minutes she is skating by herself with the aid!

Growing Garden

Check out Daniel's garden!  He has worked so hard and Adeline is reaping the benefits!

Adeline eats cucumber like a caterpillar eats leaves.  So Daniel planted 6 cucumber plants in hopes that it would feed her habit.

Here she is eating her first one right off the plant!  She couldn't even wait till morning...hence the pj's!

This is my love; it just looks so big and beautiful!

Also considering that this particular kind of squash is usually $13/kilo makes me love it even more!

This is the overall view of our backyard.  The two trees are our citrus trees and the back area is the garden. We also have a raised garden that we are preparing for several kinds of lettuce.  Daniel has done an amazing job and I can't wait to see what he has next for us!

We carved a pumpkin for Halloween! We were so happy they had pumpkins again this year!

We both dressed up as genies and passed out candy.  We had a whopping 15 trick-or-treaters! But Adeline was excited! 

Trevor helped Daniel lay the paver's for a front garden. We still need to finish putting in the mondo grass...oops.

Deda helped Daniel deweed this large area for our fruit trees and veggie garden.  

Under all the weeds we found pineapple plants and a strawberry patch!

Adeline had fun playing dressup with her friends.

And of course loving on her baby brother!

Now that it is getting hot we got Liam a new sleep suit that is cooler.

He loves it!

And lastly Adeline has been having a ball at swimming lessons!  

We are so proud at how well she is doing!
